[prompt: out of their element]
The prompt was meant along the lines of taking a character and inserting them into an entirely different reality; more like a crossover than what I ended up doing, probably, but I ain't give a damn. I like how this came out, anyway.
Just a one-shot AU based on the happenstance of Shinra Sr. seeing male heirs as a testament to his virility, no matter where they came from, and keeping Lazard in the family as he did Rufus; and a lab disaster leaving a small Sephiroth able to escape into the town, only to be 'taken in' by a collective that trains and sells anyone they can catch as household and personal servants.
Being raised a Shinra, I don't think Lazard would be too quick to see anything wrong with purchasing whatever he wanted.
